PCC Freemind: Account Deletion Terms

Last Updated: 19th August 2025

By proceeding with the deletion of your PCC Freemind account, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms regarding the permanent and irreversible removal of your account and associated data.

1. Acknowledgement of Permanent Deletion
You understand and agree that the deletion of your PCC Freemind account is an irreversible process. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered, restored, or reactivated under any circumstances.

2. Scope of Data Deletion
Upon confirmation of your deletion request, PCC Freemind will initiate the permanent removal of all personal data associated with your account from our active production databases. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Your account registration information (e.g., name, email address, date of birth).
  • Your profile details and preferences.
  • All conversation histories, messages, and logs from your counseling sessions.
  • Any notes, journal entries, or goals set within the app.
  • Your search and matching history with counselors.

3. Data Retention in Backups
You acknowledge that while your data will be immediately removed from our active systems, residual copies of your information may persist in our encrypted backup systems for a period of up to 30 days as part of our standard disaster recovery protocol. During this period, your data remains subject to the terms of our Privacy Policy and is inaccessible to anyone except authorized system administrators for backup restoration purposes only. After this retention window, all backups containing your data will be permanently purged.

4. Anonymized and Aggregated Data
You agree that PCC Freemind retains the right to retain and continue using any data that has been previously anonymized and/or aggregated. This is data that cannot be used to identify you personally and is used for legitimate business purposes such as statistical analysis, research, and service improvement.

5. Counselor Access to Data
You understand that Counselors you have interacted with are independent data controllers for the notes they may keep for their professional practice. The deletion of your PCC Freemind account does not automatically compel a Counselor to delete their private session notes, which they may be required to retain for their own professional or legal obligations. PCC Freemind is not responsible for data held independently by Counselors.
